Tulip PEZley, née King Kevin Vincent Allan Thomas, Jr. (the third) is the heir apparent of DIY hip-hop, or something like that. PEZ is a California kid who lives for the sunshine, but he isn't naive to the harsh winters of Chicago either. PEZ builds songs from the ground up - digging for sample-worthy hooks and sounds, producing his own beats, and dispensing raps that will put you inside his weird brain for a day in the life of a bike-riding fish monger in Los Angeles. His music is a heady mix of chill West-coast beats that sample under-appreciated '70s-'80s soul tracks plus Kevin Bacon and McCallister flicks alike. Using a cadence all his own and filled with nostalgia, booze-fueled adventures, and nutritional advice, Tulip PEZley will make you listen, bop, and smile.
